Deanna Clee

 ASSOCIATESHIP OF THE ROYAL  CONSERVATORY OF TORONTO - VOICE

Deanna has been teaching singing and piano in West Edmonton since 1990.   She has had many students complete  the Royal Conservatory classical voice exams, as well as the Contemporary Idioms voice exams at   Conservatory Canada.  Her main  focus is musical theatre, pop and jazz.  She also has students preparing for the Contemporary Idioms piano exams.

Deanna’s performance background includes Anita in “Howard Buys a Motorhome”; Anne in “The Holidays”; (Edmonton Fringe ); Gretel in “Hansel and Gretel”; Little Red Riding  Hood ; Cinderella (Alberta Opera); Cinderella; Amalie in “A Hans Christian Christmas”; (Stage Polaris); Sleeping Beauty; Anna/Trixie in “The Elves and the Shoemaker”.

TV and film credits include Clare in the children’s TV series “Be Alert Bert”;  The Life and Death of Jesse James; Christmas in Wonderland; The Twelve Days of Christmas  and Intern Academy.  She has a CD of original songs entitled “I Hear a Song”; a book and CD of “The Elves and the Shoemaker” available  at www.deannacleemusic.com  ; a  compilation of World War I Song; and has a recording studio for student projects.

She has written several musicals for children including “Cinderella”, Sleeping Beauty”, “The Elves and the Shoemaker”; “Meet the Muppets” and “Skibabido”.  She has a musical theatre class which performs an original work every year and teaches a musical theatre camp for kids at MacEwan Centre for the Arts in the summer.
