Jennifer O'Donnell
Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg, a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from the University of Alberta, and is an alumni of the Center for Operatic Studies in Italy. She is certified in Levels 1-3 of Somatic Voicework: The LoVetri Method, and is currently pursuing her certification of Alexander Technique under the direction of Candace Cox.
Jennifer is a voice teacher at the Edmonton Academy of Music and maintains a private studio in her home located just north of Bonnie Doon. She is experienced in a variety of styles, including classical, jazz, pop, and musical theatre. Jennifer enjoys teaching students of all ages and abilities. She strives to create a fun and supportive learning environment, building confidence while developing vocal technique and essential music skills. Lessons are tailored to meet each student's individual needs and goals, whether preparing for an RCM exam or performing at an open mic night.
Jennifer regularly sings at recitals, events and house concerts. A versatile performer with both acting and singing credits, she played Mollie Ralston in The Mouse Trap (Peninsula Players, Sidney BC) and spent several years performing with an improv troupe (Spilt Milk Comedy, Victoria BC). She has performed the role of La Natura in La Calisto (Centre For Operatic Studies, Sulmona, Italy) and appeared as The First TouriËre in Suor Angelica (Pop Goes The Opera, Edmonton AB).
